A Crime Impact Statement (CIS) for planning. A Security Needs Assessment (SNA) for the BREEAM security credit. A design package for tender. A Secured by Design (SBD) condition to discharge before occupation. They surface at different stages, but on a real project they are one thread: they go wrong together. We offer them as four services designed to work as one, because the inconsistencies start when the thread is split across consultancies, or absorbed into an architect's scope without specialist support.

Security Design & Specification
The full appointment, covering whichever of RIBA Stages 1 to 6 your project needs: risk assessment and strategy, physical and electronic security design and specification, BIM authoring, system selection, design monitoring, construction assurance and witness testing. We design for buildability, drawing on hands-on experience of what actually works.
BREEAM Security Needs Assessments
An SNA by a Suitably Qualified Security Specialist (SQSS), structured for your Assessor's evidence trail, on a fixed fee. We consult and coordinate with the design team further than a minimum SNA needs, so the recommendations end up in the drawings, not just the report.
Crime Impact Statements
Planning support that answers local policy directly: Crime Impact Statements and Assessments, authored by an SBD Licensed Consultant. We consult the police Designing Out Crime Officer (DOCO) where local validation or the project's risk profile calls for it. Fixed fee.
Secured by Design support
Scoping, coordination and assurance for SBD: requirement trackers, DOCO liaison, condition discharge and inspection support. Certification is awarded by the police; we employ an SBD Licensed Consultant to make sure your project is ready for it.
Proctor assessment
Proctor is a security rating scheme created and administered by Toren Consulting Ltd and recognised by BRE as a route to the BREEAM exemplary security credit under both New Construction V7.1 and Refurbishment V7. The assessment runs alongside the SNA, under the same appointment as the rest of the security workstream.

The workstream follows your project lifecycle
Planning commitments become certification evidence; certification recommendations become design requirements; design requirements become the drawings and specifications your contractor prices and builds from, and the police inspect against. That is why our standalone services carry natural next steps rather than dead ends: a CIS can be upgraded to a BREEAM SNA after planning, an SNA can grow into a full security design appointment as the design develops, and SBD requirements are tracked through whichever of these scopes your project runs.
Appoint us for one service and the others are already coordinated. Appoint us for the workstream and it is one team, one set of assumptions and one point of accountability from planning to handover.
